The golf course is spectacular! Impeccable conditioning compliments the exciting hole designs to make this a truly memorable experience. Wide manicured fairways lead to quick rolling bent grass greens that are large in size and undulating in nature. There are numerous elevated tees and fairways, and frequent uphill or downhill approaches.Mounding on the sides of fairways can either help the positioning of your ball, or send it into the bush or into one of the many water hazards on property. Errant approach shots to the green may end up in one of the grassy swales or collection areas that can make getting up and down a challenge.

There are approximately 65 intricately designed soft sand bunkers, many penal in nature with high lips - especially near the greens. Water comes into play on just 4 holes, including the par four ninth, which features ponds situated on both sides of the fairway, squeezing the landing area and also challenging the approach to a double tiered green complex. The par threes here are beautiful, the par fives are challenging (number 2,3,4 and 7 handicaps) and there is a wonderful set of four pars that feature a great variety in shot selection. The driver should get a good workout, but most golfers will use every club in their bag. There are a few holes where lay-ups are the prudent play, and the green complexes

vary enough that the full array of chips and pitches, from low runners to high arcing lobs, are necessary to score. Coolers and towels are standard on all carts. Players will appreciate the 150 yard stakes, 100, 150 and 200 yard blocks on fairways and cart paths, and sprinkler heads that are measured to the green on all par fours and fives. Great course - great facilities, wonderful service…this is a MUST PLAY in the San Diego area.
